Okay, I have an SCT on my truck and absolutely love it. I just bought the wife a decked out Lincoln LS and she is kinda disappointed because from what I have gathered so far it seems the Lincoln is going to be a little slower than her Accord V6 coupe she has now.

I have no idea for sure what the Lincoln LS runs in the 1/4, but I am looking for a few minor mods that might put her back in the same 1/4 mile range as where she was at...

Have you guys done any testing as far as what the LS will do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You still have the LS? What year and what engine does it have?

Yea, I still have the LS. Actually have only had it for less than a month. It's an '06 model with the V8.

I do not know what a Honda Accord weighs, but I bet it's less than the LS. I know one thing, your LS must have problems because mine would smoke a new V6 Accord on every aspect of performance (experience). That's before the SCT tune. Now it would be even worse. It made my LS even more fun to drive. Since I have the PRP as well, I can fine tune it to my tastes even further. Of course, starting from an excellent tune from a knowledgeable tuner makes all the difference.

I don’t know what the Accord weighs either, but I know it has the same amount of power as the LS…

I will openly admit that handling there is no comparison between the Accord and the LS, and I am sure that the LS would probably etch out a win over a 4 door Accord, although it would be a very tight race. The Coupe I think would be a little different story because it’s a lighter car…From the information I have gathered the LS runs about a 15.1-15.3 ¼ mile, while the V6 Accord coupe is into the 14’s…I don’t know how a 15 second ¼ mile wins against a car running a 14 second ¼ mile, but I have been wrong before.

Anyhow, I didn’t buy the car because it was a speed demon, I bought it because it was a really nice car with a lot of stuff, and it’s what the wife asked for. If I was looking for a speed demon I would have bought something else.

LOL, those ¼ numbers for the LS are not accurate as many on the LVC forum can attest to with timeslips to prove it. Anyway, what I meant to say was there is a lot of untapped potential in the LS. Most 03+ LS have run in the 14's in stock trim. We have 1 that runs in the mid 13's with the juice. :)

But as you said, it's about driving a Lincoln vs a Honda. Heck, I got smoked by an SRT/4 Neon the other day. But I would not trade him rides if given the chance. :)

AND congrats on owning the last of the LS models. It may become a "classic" one day. :D

I custom tuned my parents' '01 LS V8 Sport, but we've never raced the car.

We did, however, pick up 2.5mpg city and 3.5mpg highway with a few tricks.
